Healing from TMS: A client’s facebook post

I normally don’t use Facebook as a Soap Box but people with chronic pain need to know about this. In 2010, I woke up in the middle of the night with searing back pain without any reasonable explanation. It morphed into severe chronic debilitating back pain that lasted for 7 years. I saw 19 different doctors in 3 different states. 3 neuro surgeons, 2 general physicians, 4 orthopedic surgeons, 2 physical therapists, 2 chiropractors, 5 ER doctors, a pain management specialist and an acupuncturist. I underwent bone scans, complete blood counts, trigger point injections and NINE MRI’s among other things. I was given 10 different diagnoses: spasms, scoliosis, arthritis, “unknown disc disease”, bursitis, “overuse syndrome”, permanent muscle damage, bulging discs, herniated discs and oxygen deprivation. Eventually the pain became so intense I lost all feeling and muscle control in my right arm and had to stop working. This pain took over every aspect of my life and because no doctor could find a concrete source, I was left without a cure and just accepted that this would be a constant for the rest of my life. Then I was told about TMS (tension myositis syndrome). It’s astounding how few people are aware of this condition. It saved my life. 4 months in to the program and I am 100% pain free. TMS awareness is slowly spreading but not fast enough. Check out the trailer for the documentary “All The Rage: Saved by Sarno”. Spread the word. If you don’t believe me, take Larry David’s word for it. Prettayyyyy prettay good indeed. Not every ailment can be eliminated by throwing pills at the problem. Godspeed.
